My husband has told me about this place for 7 years. So finally I said hey pull in there I want to try this place. And thank the good lord I did. There is nothing better then authentic Mexican dishes.
I have the huevos a la Mexicana. And it was perfecto!
Absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more!! -

After our flight arrived in Portland we took the MAX lightrail train out toward our hotel, which I accidentally booked near Gresham. So after being offered a balloon of helium (to inhale, not to hold), being asked by a woman if we could help her get a job, and a couple other interesting encounters, we were ready to get off the public train and check-in. There was a train stop close to our hotel, where we saw Rico Taco and decided to grab some food first.
Rosa Maria (name on the receipt, which only totalled $17.74 for our food and beers) was super nice and helped with menu suggestions, which I asked for since they were out of ceviche this day. I had shrimp and carnitas tacos instead. Food was good and I loved their salsa bar! The place was clean inside and the food came out fast (with an apology about it taking so long, which we didn't think it did.)
We had lots of great food on our trip up to Portland. I was most surprised though about finding a taco place that was almost as good as what we have around here in Concord. -

Really wanted to try this place out. Came here to get the enchilada combo w cheese. The cheese inside was not even melted and the enchiladas were not even warm. The tortillas didn't seem fresh either. Super disappointed. A bit pricey for not serving quality. :/

Been coming to this spot since I was in high school to get me one of their delicious sausage breakfast burritos. They're pretty large and I can save half for a later meal or share with someone and both still feel satiated or stuffed. I usually frequent their drive thru since it's so convenient. It's also a good spot to get that late night meal since they're open until 2am. It hasn't changed too much since high school. Still tasty. They're price increases to $5.25 for the burrito. The inside of the restaurant is pretty clean and decorated as one might expect a Mexican restaurant to look, culturally festive. And the service is pretty quick for the most part. I'd recommend people to try this out. We used to refer to this spot as Rico Danko because their food is bomb and hits the spot after a night out. We're grown now so we'll just call it by what it really is. Ha.

I love the pork and red sauce hard shell tacos. Also the corn tamales are like the best cake you ever have eaten in your life.
